Amiens has a typical oceanic climate of northern France. It is characterised by regular rainfalls, rather fresh winters and mild summers. However sporadic cold waves can occur, usually in January or February, as well as heat waves in summer.
A public transport : It's a bus which links most of Amiens's communes.
A "Velam" : You can rent a bicycle in the town, it's an easy way to discover the city and to go everywhere. We have many bicycles stations all over the city.
A train to go very quickly to another cities like Paris, Lille...

Amiens in a student's city. So, it is a dynamic and young town.
"Saint Leu", remains the most famous area. It lies at the north of the town-centre at the feet of the cathedral.
It is one of the most touristic areas of Amiens gathering various cafés restaurants and discothèques.
It has also become home for students bringing night life to the town.

Amiens is known for his tall and large gothic cathedral of the 13th century.
Amiens is also known for the Hortillonnages, gardens on smalls islands in the marshland along the Somme river, surrounded by a grid network of man-made canals.
We have a very good hockey's team called "Les Gothiques".
In gastronomy Amiens is known for their macarons which consist of almond, fruit and honey, and date back to the 16th century.
