Our medical education

The medical university is 6 years in Hungary. It is divided to 4 modules, you have to complete the criteria of each module to be able to reach the next. Every student has to write a thesis and defend it before the state exam. After the Final year module there is a state exam, containing a test exam, an oral exam and a practical exam.

Pre-Clinical Module (year 3, semesters 5-6)

Clinical Module (years 4-5, semesters 7-10)

Final Year Module (year 6, semesters 11-12)

Accommodation & Boarding

All of the students are accommodated in student dormitories. We offer at least one meal per day at a hospital cafeteria or a restaurant. Alternatively pocket money is provided. For detailed information please check the EC.


Social program


We offer social program during summer months, including sightseeing tours, trips around Hungary at the weekends, parties, etc. We only offer limited social program during the year.

Local & National transportation

Most probably you will arrive to Hungary at Liszt Ferenc International Airport, Budapest. We advise you to get in touch with your contact person in order to arrange your transport to the dormitory.

Travelling inside Hungary

By car The road network of Hungary is more than 30.000 Km long. The road system of Hungary is Budapest centralised, the 8 most important roads start from the Capital.

By Bus Hungary has a very well developed internal bus network, with which you can reach any part of the country. In Budapest there are three main Bus stations: Erzsébet tér bus terminal - Direction Western-Hungary Népstadion bus terminal - Direction Eastern-Hungary Árpád híd bus terminal - Direction Danube-bend You can check the timetables at the following link:[6]

By train The main centre of Hungary 's train network is Budapest . From its three main railway stations (Southern, Eastern, Western) you can travel all around Hungary . From the capital to the other main cities and towns of Hungary there are scheduled intercity and express lines. You can check the timetables at the following link:[7]

Weather

Hungary has a temperate continental climate.

There are substantial differences among the average temperatures of the four seasons. Usually January is the coldest, while the hottest months are July and August in Hungary .

The daily temperature fluctuation is quite high. The annual average temperature is about 12 °C , the maximum is 38 °C , the minimum is around -10 °C .

Spring starts in early April and is accompanied by lots of showers. The summers are dry and warm. Autumns are cool, foggy and rainy. Winters are relatively short, moderately cold and usually dry, but sometimes brilliant sunny. The little snow the city gets usually disappears after a few days.
