I hereby confirm that this room/apartment
has been assigned for 1 foreign exchange student, attending an exchange program arranged by IMCC (IFMSA, Denmark)
The tenancy is between the person renting out the apartment
and the foreign exchange student
Thus the tenancy is a matter between the owner of the apartment and the foreign exchange student. IMCC can not be held responsible for any damage to, misuse of the apartment, etc., if any.
The rent is 1600 kr. per person for one month, and includes all consumption og electricity, heat and water. The rent will be paid the week after the tenancy has ended, or on agreement with IMCC.
IMCC does not undertake the economic responsibility for economic loss nor for damage caused by the exchange student.
The exchange student is held liable for any such damage, however, IMCC will help collect the claim for the damage, as far as possible. Therefore IMCC demands from the exchange student that he has a liability insurance, and that the policy number be stated in this tenancy agreement.
It is the responsibility of the person renting out the apartment to arrange that the exchange student can use the apartment/room freely. If there are other tenants the owner is asked to inform them about the exchange student’s stay. IMCC assumes that the room is furnished, and that there is free access to use of a shower, toilet, and kitchen. Furthermore IMCC asks the owner of the apartment to provide the exchange student with one clean set of clean sheets and one clean towel. The exchange student must wash the sheets and towel before departure or leave 50 dkr. as compensation to the owner. IMCC recommends that the owner moves things from the room/apartment, that he does not wish for the exchange student to (e.g. telephone, valuables, etc.). The room/apartment is assumed to be nice and clean. The exchange student must leave the room/apartment in the same condition that it was found. In case of any damage, please inform IMCC Exchange.
IMCC reserves the right to cancel the tenancy agreement free of charge, until two weeks before the beginnig of the lease.
IMCC will hand over the key and give the exchange student the necessary instructions in use of the room/apartment. Therefore it is the owners responsibility to hand in a copy of the key to IMCC Exchange together with this signed document at least two weeks before beginning of lease. IMCC will have the foreign exchange student sign this tenancy agreement.
